Ann Collins, PMP
Ann Collins is CEO and founder of kenectiv, LLC. She is a certified PMP with over 25 years of project management experience and over 30 years working in technology. Her experience includes 8 years of mobile technology and 20+ years of business process assessment and implementation. Ann has held multiple security clearances and has managed software and large infrastructure projects.

She has also spent the last 15 years as a management consultant helping companies build productive and happy teams and meet project and company goals..

Company Core Values is a passion of hers and she believes that people are happiest in their work when their values are in alignment with the work they do and the company they work for. Whether she’s managing projects or helping her clients build the best teams possible, she works with the view that everyone is valuable and has the need to feel heard and respected.

Some of her experience includes:

  • Managing Agile teams to successful project delivery
  • Developing and Managing Project Management Office (PMO) processes and resources
  • Managed successful US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) multi-million dollar pilot to quickly connect to disparate data sources and standardize cargo risk assessment data.  
  • Managed multiple government projects ranging from $100,000 to $4,000,000. 
  • Led process improvement teams in the development and implementation of CMM Level 2 processes and procedures.  
  • Managed large department responsible for all financial and operational software at the Texas Education Agency (TEA).  Was responsible for the Integrated Statewide Accounting System (ISAS) and all financial grant processing subsystems.  ISAS is the Peoplesoft Financial package that was modified for the state of Texas and was used at TEA to process approximately 4 billion dollars each month.
  • Extensive experience in writing government proposals, including project schedule and costing estimates.
  • Initiated and led department-wide implementation of Configuration Management at TEA.  This effort included processes for change control, version control, tool selection and developing a CMM level 2 Configuration Management Plan for each development team.
  • Maintained the project plan and was in charge of issues management for multiple vendors on the 5 year, $300 million Texas Integrated Eligibility Redesign System (TIERS) project with the Texas Department of Human Services. The project plan was maintained in Microsoft Project and consisted of over 15,000 tasks tracking development, training and implementation activities.
  • As Information Systems Director at Girling Health Care, managed national operational support with departments performing payroll, billing and financial system support, programming and systems development, data entry, and technical support.
  • Completed fourteen-month Software Project Management Certification program with the University of Texas at Austin Software Quality Institute and was invited to serve on the curriculum review board for the next sequence.

Ann lives in Austin Texas and loves spending time with her daughters, enjoying outdoor activities and painting.
